update

this is a brief update of what has been happening in my life so far:

Monday, Vesak day, 19 May

• stayed up late the previous night until about 4 to watch wei xiao pasta, quite boring la, but still! i wanna watch. woke up at about 9 plus
• reluctantly went for the walk from telok blangah to vivo city. we saw the horticulture park, really awesome. can look at pictures in my sis blog, i lazy to post
• was super tired so no energy to walk all the way to vivo, but I think we saw most of the scenic part of the walk – Henderson waves, a wooden bridge, was nice
• stopped after Henderson waves, passed the Benjamin tree which we supposedly have in our garden, just that it’s a super small version of it.
• Ate at some coffee shop, wasn’t really very hungry at that time so didn’t eat much
• Took taxi to vivo and window shopped a bit. There was this handbag that we coulod buy as belated mother’s day gift but in the end never buy cos say not practical
• Went to underpass and saw elin and pris walking to vivo to shop!
• Went home to do pw stuff
• Dinner at bottle tree restaurant at sembawang with relatives cos ah kor win 4d. the food was not bad and I saw the police car there, in case mad selamat escape from there.

Tuesday,20 May

• Full day of school, and guitar prac after that from 4 to 7.
• I still couldn’t play much of the songs for the japan trip
• Went to ah kor’s house to stay over and did quite a lot of work. comparatively

Wednesday, 21 May

• Walked to school from ah kor’s house about 15 minutes. It felt kinda weird walking to school, but fun too cos it feels like how daddy used to walk to school when he was going to st.pats last time, I really wished I was born earlier sometimes
• Half day of school until 12.45, pe lesson was kinda crap cos grandma goh keep focusing on the same thing = layout = super xian
• Supported soccer finals with floorball, mj brought the whole school down cos it was compulsory for them. Didn’t get to see chuan yun though. I think besides her, I dunno anybody else from mj. All the other ahs and east side school people all can find their friend one, then I bit down there, stone.
• I think our this yr red shirts not good leh, they never get everybody’s attention, not everybody cheering together.
• The soccer boys lost against mj – malay j, 2 – 1. Our strikers keep hitting the ball at the goal post pole. So close, but yet so far. I really wanted to cry!!!! I know a lot of ppl did…
• Ate at marina square food court with hazel and ying hua.
• Went to buy rachels present and then walked to esplanade – for once, I wasn’t late for a concert
• Macchu picchu was really nice!!! But to the end, I was very tired and just closed my eyes through most of the second part – I did not sleep! Just closed my eyes. But I guessed I missed out some parts cos hui min was asking me about this star wars trilogy part and I couldn’t remember which part she was talking about…
• Saw a lot of band ppl! nice talking to pei ting, charlyne, hai ching, kia lin etc.
• Went home with Ying Hua cos stayed over at my auntie’s house

Thursday, 22 May

• Brought my guitar to school and guess what – when I went to the guitar room after school, only the case was left there. Who would want to steal a 100 dollar guitar??!!
• Thursday was half day cos of hockey girls finals and we won 2-1!
• I was stuck at sectionals, but it was the most fruitful guitar japan practice I have ever had cos I think I know how to play all the songs already except cordoba. This practice really made me super excited for japan and develop more passion for guitar
• Went home super early at like 4 and did some work, or clearing up
• Went to st nicks to see my juniors for nomms. Go hai ching ,ayu and kia lin, your like all super committed band juniors and it is really very ‘xin wei” to see all of you grow up and take up leadership positions. Met celeste and andrea! I heard the sec ones a bit weird, and I kinda agree, but maybe they’ll grow out of their weirdest and their smallness as the years pass, I wonder whether our seniors thought we were like that too when I was sec one. I doubt so. It seems to me that the younger generations are getting smaller and have less eq
• I folded cranes for them and put them in circle boxes to wish them all the best. They better not lose them!!

Friday, 23 May

• Full day off from school, but full day packed with other activities
• Had guitar prac from 8.30 to 1. Finally could play shabodama with the ensemble.
• Used bubble wrap to wrap our precious guitars and got scolded real bad by ms ding. I really hope this doesn’t happen again in japan, it would just ruin our whole trip la! I know that she had a good reason to scold us, but she scolded us for the whole time we unwrapped and rewrapped our guitars – you know how annoying that can be? And her scoldings are like so repetitive, she says the same thing in the same kind of scolding tone 3 times to different ppl. I hope I don’t grow up to be like her, I wanna get married you know… haha
• Went to parkway to develop photos and accompany hazel
• Walked around parkway with Shirley and hazel to window shop. Actually not really window shop cos I bought lots of food! Haha. First the bubble tea cos It was super hot, then the jap sushi, then auntie anne’s
• Went back to vj to do ushering for strings concert. We had free dinner- thai pan fried rice, I chose the noodles, and it wasn’t that nice. Thanks jaslene, lynn and hazel for sharing rice with me, haha
• The strings teachers are so enviously nice. They are pleasant, they are bubbly, they are all the nice adjectives you can ever think of. I was at the ticketing booth and it got quite messy when this stupid blur guy came and claimed he was Kevin and took 5 tickets which was not his cos another 5 ppl came after that who were the real Kevin and friends
• Strings concert was not really a strings concert cos they had the band with them most of the time. Delia and jia li and jed looked all so posh and handsome in their attire. I know a lot of ppl knocked off in the after part of the intermission. I wanna volunteer to do ushering more!!

Saturday, 24 May

• Had to wake up at 7 plus cos I was watching a free movie – Indiana jones with hui min and her parents at vivo city!! I put my alarm at 7, but I woke up at 8, haha, but in the end we were quite early. Hui min’s parents were really nice, they watched a movie together in Singapore. I think my parents would only do that overseas, but I guess, its free and my parents have never gotten free tickets before.
• I bought almond butter cake from starbucks as my breakfast cos nothing was open and macs was so far away. And hui min persuaded me to buy this frappucino thing with whipped cream and caramel, it was nice! But super sweet at the end and most importantly=- super ex! 10 dollars spent on breakfast… cries…
• The movie not bad, and sure gonna be another Indiana jones coming up after the current one dies or something but I feel its very cliché, like , always fall down waterfalls and always have happy endings. I watched at gv max, it was super spacious just that there was one seat with no place to put the cup. I so stupidly accidentally took someone else’s drink by mistake.
• Went shopping with hui min and bought 2 shirts! Great Singapore sale, and vivo is not a bad place to shop at all.
• Church – played Frisbee, it was fun you know!
• Xilei and eliz came to my church cos ask them to come then after that can go harmoc concert together. Im so glad they came. we made a lot of noise though.. haha
• Rushed to buy present for harmoc ppl then rush to ta bao kfc, then rushed to not be late for concert.
• Harmoc a lot of Chinese Chinese ppl, I think we will fit in just right. Then concert got a little draggy at the end, like most school concerts. Im so happy I met rina and the poor drum guy from band had to play for like almost the whole concert la. I dunno why can’t the harmoc ppl just play without the piano or drums… isn’t it harmoc?

I packed my bag for japan trip today! Hope I brought the correct stuff.

Kaiyukan(aquarium). Kwansei gakuin university high school. Dotonbori(food street)

31 may,, Saturday

Shinsaibashi(shopping street). Depart:)
